TV commercials - bad physics

Postprzez joejonsme » 2018-06-08, 06:36

Hello,

There was a commercial from an auto parts company saying their brake pads can stop your car 20ft shorter than other pads. They show a car in full lockup, skidding down a road that ends rather abruptly. Just as the car reaches the end (obviously not going to stop in time), the video freezes, and a construction crew builds another 20ft or so of road, then the car skids to a stop. Kinda funny, but I don't think the brand of pads on the car are going to make a difference IF the tires are fully locked Any other examples of bad physics in commercials (or anywhere else for that matter)?

Please help

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
